Biography
August Ames (Mercedes Grabowski) was born in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, but she grew up in Colorado. August was sent to live in a group home at an early age. She was allegedly molested by her grandfather, but her father didn’t believe her. August Ames’ mother suffered from bipolar disorder and August had problems with this illness throughout her life too. Before entering the adult entertainment industry, August Ames worked as a nanny and a horseback trainer.
August Ames started her porn career in November, 2013. In her four year career, she worked with most large porn production companies, such as Brazzers, Evil Angel, New Sensations, Girlfriends Films and many others. She appeared in close to 290 porn movies and was nominated three times for AVN’s Female Performer of the Year award.
Death
August Ames committed suicide on December 5, 2017 after one of her tweets got massive backlash. Thousands of people sent mean and threatening messages to her. August Ames hanged herself in a park that’s a mere 20-minute ride from her home. She left a suicide note for her family in her car.
